Vinkeveen

Situated in the south of Amsterdam, Vinkeveen is the perfect place to start a cruise in the area. The Vinkeseense Plassen is an important recreational lake for many activities like swimming, diving and yachting.

Breukelen
Situated along the river Vecht, many merchant families from Amsterdam have built their mansions nearby the town. Enjoy a short walk around the lake of the Loodrechte Plassan nearby. Insolite is the name of the borough Brooklyn in New York City that comes from the town name of Breukelen.

Maarsen
Situated along the Vecht River, Maarsen was a key place for the peat bog in the Middle Ages. Later some rich families of Amsterdam built some country houses nearby that you can still see. The town is now more a suburb of Utrecht but you can still visit historical village of Maarssen-Dorp in the East side of the town.

Utrecht
Ultrech is Holland’s fourth biggest city and the old section has many attractions. The famous medieval church, St. Martin’s Cathedral, is half of its former self as a result of the terrible hurricane of 1674. Canals, lined with terraces and greenery, give the city its charm; it’s a nice place for a walk.

Oudewater
Spend some time visiting the protected historic city centre and the famous ‘Heksenwaag’ (witches’ scales) where people accused of witchcraft were offered an honest chance of proving their innocence.

Gouda
Famous thanks to the cheese of the same name, Gouda hosts a traditional cheese market every Thursday morning. The town has also a rich history and patrimonies and hosts one of the oldest city halls of the country. Don’t miss the Saint John Church famous for its stained glass windows.

Rotterdam
Rotterdam is one of the largest and busiest ports in the world. The city is also known for its culture, hosting many museums, institutes and theatres, such as the Rotterdamse Schouwburg. Bombarded during the World War II, the city has a very active architecture and you’ll admire lots of impressive new buildings next to typical Dutch houses along the canals.

Delft
City of the famous painter Veermeer, Delft is a typical Dutch city with lots of historical monuments and buildings bordered by canals and typical bridges. Don’t miss the City Hall and some of the gates such as the Easter Gate named “Oostpoort”.

Den Haag
Den Haag is the seat of government in the Netherlands. The small streets around Binnehof are considered as the cultural centre of the city. Spend some time discovering some of the town square and the impressive monuments of the town such the famous Peace Plaace (Vredespaleis), house of the International Court of Justice.

Leiden
The charming town of Leiden is made of small canals and tree-bordered. The historical town centre contains impressive buildings and churches that you can’t miss. Spend some time walking in the numerous parks and visit the Hortus Botanicus and other gardens of the town.

Lisse
Lisse is known as Holland’s flower-growing area. Enjoy the amazing view of the surrounding flowered fields during spring. From March to May the tulips are flowering in the famous Keukenhof Flower Park. It is one of the largest flower gardens in the world and also hosts a Castle open year-round.

Amsterdam, the largest city in Holland, will welcome you with all of its treasures, its monuments, and its history. Take a moment to visit this unique and eclectic city.
